The building is situated in a picturesque area, being only a short drive from the Yorkshire Dales. The property was once owned by the Dewhurst family, well known for Dewhurst the Butchers. Dewhurst sold the property upon the sale of the butchery to the Morrison’s Group. It is quite fitting that with the history surrounding the building, that is has now become one of the most successful Taverners Carvery's. We operate a Carvery, serving only freshly prepared vegetables and meats for only £4.49 Monday to Saturday and £5.99 on a Sunday. This combined with great value drinks, a large beer terrace, extensive beer garden, and all weather smoking facilities makes us unmissable.
