Red Lion

The Red Lion is the only surviving pub left in the beautiful Lancashire village of Newburgh. This traditional pub with its cosy corners and appetising menu is a hit with locals and visitors to the area. The 13 rooms have been carefully refurbished to give the perfect blend of old and new.

Newburgh sits on the Leeds and Liverpool canal a short distance from Wigan. The menu focuses on British classics using select local ingredients. For the more adventurous we offer daily specials from the blackboard and you can wash your meal down with a pint of quality real ale from a choice of brewers, or a glass of wine from our extensive cellar.
