About Us
The Poverina pub has been the centre of village life in Normanby for over three hundred years and in all probability a great deal longer. Though the present pub was rebuilt in the early 1920s, The Poverina still fulfils its initial function - to offer an ideal relaxing place for a social drink, excellent pub food served daily and a chat. Based not far from Middlesborough, The Poverina also has a beautiful function room which is ideal for birthdays, weddings and many other social occasions.
Function Rooms
The Poverina Inn offers a function room, holding a maximum of 50 guests for a buffet – perfect for work parties and wedding receptions. If you would like more details about how to hire our pub function room, or would just like to take a look, please give us a call to discuss your needs.

- MONDAYS - Poker Night from 9pm till late. What's your poker face??
- TUESDAYS - General Knowledge Quiz from 9pm onwards. Test your brain power!
- WEDNESDAYS - Curry Night and Quiz Night from 9pm.....test your music knowledge.
- THURSDAYS - Grill Night including a Darts Competition from 8pm. £20.00 prize to be won.
