Derek Andrew recognised by Industry

Derek Andrew has been awarded a Special Achievement Award at the Morning Advertiser Pub Food Awards. The award is in recognition of his contribution to the sector over a 30 year period which has seen momentous change in pub going habits.

Derek’s career at Marston’s has covered each operating division of the business from Free Trade Sales to Tenanted Area Manager; he headed up Cameron’s Brewery in Hartlepool, when W&DB bought it in 1990 and formed the managed house division Pathfinder in 2002 after the company integrated the acquisitions of Marston’s and Mansfield.

Now as MD of Marston’s Inns and Taverns he has been pivotal in the development of the estate’s drive to focus on food development and the broadening of the customer appeal with the introduction of the F Plan.

Derek received his award at a dinner in Plaisterers Hall in London, Pete Dalzell, Steve Oliver and Ralph Findlay, Marston’s PLC Chief Executive, were in attendance.

Congratulations to Derek, it is great to see our business recognised for its people and its achievements.
