Here at Marston's Inns and Taverns we are proud of our fantastic heritage dating back to the earliest days of Victorian brewing in England and in many of our pubs you will still find for sale the ales from our very own breweries.
Marston's Beer Company brew some of the UK's leading ale brands including Marston's Pedigree, Banks's Bitter, Banks's Original, Mansfield Bitter, Hobgoblin and Ringwood Best Bitter. Our award-winning ales collected five international brewing medals at the Millennium International Brewing Awards. Key developments in the last decade have enabled Marston's PLC to position itself as the UK's premier regional brewer.
We operate five breweries:
Jennings Brewery, CockermouthJennings Brewery is based at the heart of the Lake District in the Cumbrian town of Cockermouth. Our beer is brewed with pure Lakeland water to deliver beers with a genuine taste of the Lake District.
Wychwood Brewery, OxfordshireWychwood Brewery nestles in the foothills of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Our range of award winning beers are inspired by characters , myths, and legends, associated with the ancient Wychwood Forest. Brakspear beers have been brewed in Oxfordshire since 1779. When the Henley Brewery closed in 2002, brewing transferred to the Wychwood Brewery. Today Brakspear Bitter is still brewed using the famous Brakspear Double-Drop fermentation system and the Victorian Henley fermentation vessels.
Ringwood Brewery, HampshireFounded in 1978 Ringwood Brewery is Hampshire's leading brewer, situated in the New Forest market town of Ringwood, on the site of the former 18th century Tunks Brewery. Brewer of the Champion Beer Of Britain in 1988 – Old Thumper.
Park Brewery, WolverhamptonBrewed at the iconic Park Brewery in Wolverhampton, Banks's beers were established in 1875 to slake the thirst of Black Country workers fuelling the industrial revolution.
Marston's Brewery, Burton-upon-TrentBased in Burton-Upon-Trent, renowned as the home of British brewing, Marston's produces the famous Pedigree using natural spring water and the unique Burton Union fermentation system. Where others have to “Burtonise” their brewing water Marston's don’t have to compromise.
